Netcraft's most reliable hosting company sites for October 2009.
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web analytics firm Netcraft (www.netcraft.com) announced on Wednesday that SingleHop (www.singlehop.com) and Acens (www.acens.com) had the most reliable hosting company sites for October 2009.
The announcement follows the August 2009 most reliable hosting company sites report, which saw DataPipe and Server Intellect tie for first place.
SingleHop, who went skydiving last week to celebrate a 19.5 percent revenue increase over the second quarter of 2009, was in first place by responding to all of Netcraft’s requests.
The Web host’s main site runs PHP and uses Apache on Linux.
Spanish hosting provider Acens tied SingleHop for the top position, which marks the second time the Web host has been in first place. SingleHop also took the top position in March.
Founded in 1997, Acen’s website is powered by PHP on an Apache sever and Linux operating system.
INetU trailed close in second position, marking its ninth appearance in the top ten this year. The Web host is powered by PHP and runs on Apache.
On October’s top ten most reliable hosting companies, seven hosting providers have been running their website on Linux, one on Windows Server 2008 and one on FreeBSD.
Netcraft measures and makes available the response times of 50 leading hosting providers’ sites. The performance measurements are made at 15 minute intervals from separate points around the internet, with averages calculated over the immediately preceding 24 hour period.
