Sibername Pre-Registers .Mobi
September 22, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Sibername (sibername.com) announced on Wednesday it has begun accepting pre-applications for the landrush period for .MOBI domain names today. The .MOBI landrush period begins on September 26.
Customers can increase the chance of securing their MOBI domain extension by pre-registering for the domain before the Landrush begins. With four times as many mobile phones as there are PCs, many speculate that .MOBI will be the ‘.COM’ of the mobile Web.
Sibername customers can register .MOBI domains for £21.45 through its recently launched British Web site (Sibername.co.uk) only. Customers who register their .MOBI domains through Sibername will have their application submitted through the queues of 10 different registrars.
Located in Ottawa, Canada, Sibername offers Web hosting and domain name services. It is accredited by both ICANN and EURid.
