ShopSite Launches Version 8.1
July 6, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — E-Commerce shopping cart and catalog software provider ShopSite (shopsite.com) announced on Tuesday it has released its new ShopSite Version 8.1, an e-commerce software option for Web hosting providers, new or existing Internet merchants and Web designers.
As a member of the eBay Developers Program, ShopSite uses the eBay APIs to enable merchants to list products from their ShopSite stores on eBay. Version 8.1 has passed Visa’s CISP Payment Application Best Practices validation, a set of 13 best practices designed to protect sensitive information from being compromised. CISP-validated ShopSite merchants can be assured that they are processing cardholder information at the highest security level.
ShopSite has also added new features, including PayPal Web site Payments Pro support for authorization mode, new themes and color schemes, support for the UK based NetBanx payment gateway and public/private key encryption, as well as incorporating the Advanced Encryption Standard.
ShopSite is sold by hundreds of reseller partners, including hosting companies such as NTT/Verio, LexiConn, BizLand, SiteSell, pair Networks, YourHost and BroadSpire. Merchant Web sites using ShopSite include the Getty Trust Foundation, Hometime, Ben Sherman, X10 and Avia.
