Matthew Loschert, chief technology officer of ServInt.
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider ServInt (www.servint.net) announced on Wednesday it has promoted Matthew Loschert to the new position of chief technology officer.
The promotion marks one of several appointments that ServInt has announced over the past two months.
The company recently promoted Christian Dawson to chief operating officer, the formation of the ServInt Managed Services Team, and appointing Eric Morales the company’s business intelligence manager.
Loschert joined ServInt in 1998 and has served as its vice president of technology since 2006.
In this newly created position, Loschert will continue oversee the technical direction of ServInt’s web hosting services including the evaluation and testing of high-performance hardware and software solutions, and the integration of those solutions into ServInt’s offerings.
His responsibilities also include managing new and existing relationships with technical vendors, as well as managing all technical personnel throughout the organization.
During his time at ServInt, Loschert has led many key ServInt technical initiatives, including the company’s early adoption of virtualization technology and the creation of a virtual private server solution in 2003.
Since then, he has continued to build on ServInt’s offerings by adopting new technology through new vendor partnerships and internal systems development.
“For years, Matt has served as the chief architect of our technical operations, designing and implementing new services and building our technical infrastructure,” says Reed Caldwell, ServInt CEO and founder. “His forward-thinking approach to technical development has helped ServInt maintain its position as a globally recognized leader in VPS and managed enterprise server hosting solutions.”
