Version 1.9.2 is the first major release since May when Jelastic released version 1.9.1 of its cloud hosting platform.
Jelastic is the only zero-code-change cloud hosting platform for Java and PHP applications, taking an innovative approach to Java and PHP hosting by not requiring users to learn custom systems or recode applications in order to deploy.
The cloud plaform is the only PaaS that can run any Java or PHP app with no limitations or code changes.
“Jelastic has been a core component of the ServInt product catalog since 2011 because it is one of the most powerful, innovative and easy-to-use PaaS products on the market,” said ServInt CTO Matt Loschert. “Now, with 1.9.2, it’s even better. The list of new features that users will be getting is simply extraordinary.”
Jelastic 1.9.2 is equipped with a range of new features and improvements, including GIT & SVN Auto-deploy, PHP 5.5, FTP and FTPS access to database servers, the ability to schedule MongoDB database backups, the ability to change GC, -Xmx, -Xms, the ability to deploy PHP projects from GIT repository with submodules/dependencies added, the ability to assign an internal IP to VDS components, and a search box to get answer any questions.
“Every day we listen to the feedback of our web hosting partners and also the members of our ever-growing community,” said Jelastic COO Dmitry Sotnikov. “In this release, we have implemented many of the requested features and changes. Some highlights include GIT & SVN Auto-deploy, FTP and FTPS access to database servers, scheduling MongoDB backups, a handy search box and loads more. We are really excited to see how much more productive users can be on our cloud platform.”
Jelastic, which recently appointed PHP scripting language creator Rasmus Lerdord as an advisor, supports a wide variety of application servers for Java and PHP (Tomcat, GlassFish, TomEE, Jetty, Apache, NGINX), databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, CouchDB, MongoDB), and Memcached.
Aside from offering its PaaS offering in the US via ServInt, Jelastic also has partnerships around the world, including in Russia with Rusonyx, in Germany with dogado, in the UK and Ireland with Layershift, in Japan with Tsukaeru, in Brazil with Websolute, and inSweden with Elastx, which Jelastic launched in public beta last week.
