ServerBeach Releases RapidRescue
Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.
March 24, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) Dedicated Web hosting provider ServerBeach (serverbeach.com) announced on Wednesday that it had launched RapidRescue, a proprietary server recovery feature that enables Linux server customers to rescue their boxes from potentially fatal errors through the MyServerBeach customer portal.
RapidRescue, a part of the company's BeachBall Total Automation system, enables customers to recover from server errors without having to consult a data center technician to do it for them.
"From time to time, a server suffers from errors which render it inoperable," says Robert Miggins, chief operations officer of ServerBeach. "Previously at ServerBeach, indeed at most other dedicated server companies, customers were required to alert a technician and then wait for them to access the server and put it into rescue mode, to permit critical operations like reboots and repairs to take place. RapidRescue puts that time and power in the hands of our customer, giving them unprecedented control over their servers."
ServerBeach was acquired last year by colocation and bandwidth provider Peer 1 Network (peer1.net).
