(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Offering geographically targeted hosting, the SEO Hosting Network (www.seohn.net) has opened its services to web hosting companies worldwide, offering geographically distributed IP addresses to their clients for search engine optimization purposes, and participate in supplying local nodes for its network as an additional revenue stream.
According to the company, which is the SEO-focused subsidiary of online services company Ichthys Media, SEOHN’s new “Geo IP” technology lets clients pick the country and city from which each website will be hosted. Using actual nodes, SEOHN goes beyond what typical SEO hosts do to geographically locate websites.
“SEO Hosting market is an exclusive high priced market,” said Jimmy Tanzil, managing director of Ichthys Media LLC, SEOHN parent company. “Today, SEO hosting is priced at around $6 per month per Class C IP with a minimum bundle of 5 Class C at $30 per month. Now, through SEOHN, smaller web host can offer exactly that, even better!”
The traditional method is using “Class C” IPs, which are more geographically precise because there are relatively more of them, each assigned to a relatively small number of machines, compared to Class A and B networks, which are larger and more ambiguous. Most web hosting companies don’t provide dedicated Class C IPs without justification.
SEOHN’s solution is powered by cPanel nodes supplied by web hosts around the world, making it possible to provide geographically distributed nodes to its distributor. As a node supplier, web hosts will only need to register cPanel accounts into the SEOHN platform. Suppliers will then gain a steady stream of income through the FTP accounts created by SEOHN on their cPanel nodes.
SEOHN also provides a ready-made WHM Complete Solution plugin which enables web hosts to immediately offer SEO Hosting solution from their existing WHMCS installation. An API is also available for other web hosts which utilize other hosting automation/billing system than WHMCS.
