Sedo Buys Domain Monetization Site ParkingPanel

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Confirming widespread rumours, online domain marketplace Sedo (www.sedo.com) announced on Friday it has acquired the domain monetizing service provider ParkingPanel (www.parkingpanel.com). The terms of the deal were no disclosed.

Launched in 2006, ParkingPanel works with large domain portfolio owners and web hosts to increase revenue and keyword optimization.

After losing its advertising feed in 2008, ParkingPanel sought a new provider and re-emerged in August.

The online domain marketplace will incorporate the ParkingPanel brand into its own brand.

Sedo’s account managers will personally transition ParkingPanel’s members to Sedo’s platform, and inform them of the change in service via email, by the end of the month.

ParkingPanel’s former customers will have access to Sedo’s advanced monetization engine, optimized parking templates, and the largest domain name marketplace.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Sedo to extend our parking program’s industry leading services to ParkingPanel.com’s customers,” says Tim Schumacher, CEO of Sedo. “We look forward to a smooth integration of the ParkingPanel.com brand into Sedo’s community of domain buyers and sellers. This acquisition is another example of Sedo’s commitment to sustaining growth and increasing our membership throughout the year.”

Sedo account managers will personally handle the transition of ParkingPanel’s clients to Sedo’s platform and inform all members of the change in service via email.
