Slootman has joined Imperva's board of directors
(WEB HOST INDUSRTY REVIEW) — Data security solutions provider Imperva (www.imperva.com) announced on Monday that it has added ServiceNow CEO Frank Slootman and David Strohm to Imperva’s board of directors, effective immediately, according to the press release.
“Frank and David bring valuable experience to our Board of Directors,” Shlomo Kramer, CEO of Imperva said in a statement. “Both have significant experience to help Imperva build and strengthen its position in the data security market. We welcome them in their new roles.”
Slootman is the CEO of cloud-based IT infrastructure management provider ServiceNow. Prior to ServiceNow, Slootman was the CEO of enterprise storage compaany Data Domain. He led the company through its 2007 IPO and its acquisition by EMC for $2.4 billion in 2009, Kramer said.
Previously, Slootman was SVP of product operations at Borland Software where he was responsible for the company’s engineering and product management function.
Slootman holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Netherlands School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Dave Strohm has been an early or founding investor in more than 30 companies, according to Imperva. More than a dozen of which have become publicly traded.
“For the past 31 years, Dave has been a savvy entrepreneur who has been involved in building numerous public companies,” Kramer stated. “Few people in the Valley enjoy this level of experience.”
Strohm has been a board member at EMC since 2003, and lead director since 2006. He has been at VMWare since 2007.
Strohm is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School, according to the press release.
Earlier this year Imperva launched its PartnerSphere cloud alliance program to help managed security service providers deliver data security for their cloud data centers.
