The Prolexic Portal helps customers understand how DDoS attacks are mitigated
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — DDoS security provider Prolexic announced on Thursday that it has launched its Prolexic Portal, an online resources that provides customers greater visibility and insight into its cloud-based mitigation services.
The portal allows customers to view the Prolexic DDoS mitigation reports, customer site traffic profiles, alerts, and DDoS attack statistics.
“The Prolexic Portal opens the door to a robust view of reports, graphs, alerts, and statistics that give our customers more insight into DDoS threats on their network and how we mitigate them,” Paul Sop, chief technology officer at Prolexic said in a statement. “Most importantly, the Portal helps us work with our clients in a closer and more coordinated manner.”
The Prolexic Portal provides subscribers with a “Flow Based Attack Monitor”, a customer view of traffic that passes through their routers. The monitor includes access to all DDoS alerts and traffic profiles and is updated every five minutes.
Prolexic says its customers can view Network Flow Based Alerts for all DDoS events detected on traffic crossing the customer’s network.
Clients can view bandwidth graphs that show the clean bandwidth crossing the network, updated in five minute intervals, and the bandwidth volume can be viewed in time-selectable intervals.
Prolexic customers have access to an in-depth document library that contains standard service documents like provisioning documents, service descriptions and web optimization guides.
Prolexic provides access to its support team through the portal as well.
“The Prolexic Portal is another important way that we can help our customers minimize the disruption and financial impact of DDoS attacks, while illustrating the value that Prolexic provides,” Sop said in a statement. “This latest enhancement and new features are customer-driven and so far, feedback has been very positive.”
In November, Prolexic announced that it had mitigated a large DDoS attack in terms of packets-per-second volume with its tools.
