(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Creating an integrated solution for integrated IP address management and domain name security extensions, Secure64 Software Corporation (www.secure64.com) and management software developer Men & Mice (www.menandmice.com) have announced a joint marketing agreement to provide US government and international customers a completely integrated IPAM and DNSSEC signing solution.
Announced Wednesday, according to the agreement, the Men & Mice IPAM software suite will support Secure64′s FOSE-award winning DNS signing software appliance, Secure64 DNS Signer, adding automated support for DNSSEC signing to Men & Mice’s IPAM solutions. Secure64 is currently the only company offering a deployed software appliance that fully automates DNSSEC key generation, key rollover, zone signing and re-signing processes.
“We are really excited about the opportunity that this partnership represents,” Men & Mice chief executive officer Jon Kristjansson said in a statement. “It is a rare occasion that two innovative companies have such a complimentary product offering. The combination of the Men & Mice Suite and the Secure64 DNSSEC automation tools will enable far better Internet security, and make implementation of DNSSEC less of a challenge for organizations worldwide.”
DNS security is a critical IT security concern, which has lead the Office of Management and Budget to require all US federal government agencies to deploy DNSSEC by December 2009. DNSSEC addresses vulnerabilities in DNS, which have lead to countless online attacks including those in early July that lead to several US government agency websites to be temporarily taken offline.
Secure64′s DNS Signer product will be supported by The Men & Mice Suite – a management software solution built to meet the challenges of DNS, DHCP and IP address management in large computer networks. It provides a sophisticated management layer for the existing DNS and DHCP infrastructure integrated with advanced IP address management capabilities.
Secure64 CEO and director Steve Goodbarn said Men & Mice’s IPAM solution is best-in-breed and renowned by customers worldwide. “As a recognized authority on DNS and DHCP with a worldwide customer base, Men and Mice meets customer needs for world-class management solutions while allowing Secure64 to maintain our focus on delivering trustworthy and secure DNS and DNSSEC products,” Goodbarn said in a statement.
