Secure Payment Provider Trustwave Launches Live Call Center to Support EMEA

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — On-demand data security and Payment Card Industry compliance management solution provider Trustwave (www.trustwave.com) has opened a new compliance call center in Warsaw, Poland, which will initially focus on providing PCI Data Security Standard compliance support for current Trustwave customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

PCI DSS is the payment card industry security requirement for entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data, and has been endorsed by American Express, Discover Network, JCB, MasterCard and Visa. According to Trustwave’s Thursday announcement, its new call center will provide PCI DSS customer support in several languages including English, Spanish, German, French, Swedish, Polish, Flemish, Norwegian and Italian.

“We’ve experienced a tremendous amount of growth in our European client base that made this new call center a vital investment that enables Trustwave to continue providing the highest level of customer support in the industry,” Trustwave chairman and chief executive officer Robert J. McCullen said in a statement. “By advancing our customer support with this in-region call center, Trustwave is better able to support the millions of merchants in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to achieve PCI DSS compliance validation.”

Assistance will be provided to businesses moving through the compliance process using TrustKeeper, Trustwave’s on-demand compliance management solution. TrustKeeper provides automated tools necessary for merchants to support on-going compliance such as quarterly network vulnerability scans, identification of prohibited card holder data and the completion of self-assessment questionnaires.

Interestingly, one of the languages Trustwave did not mention its support for was Arabic, which is widely spoken in the Middle East and North Africa. Companies such as web search giant Yahoo (www.yahoo.com) have been pursuing the Arabic world, which is likely to grow significantly in the coming months and years. It recently signed a definitive agreement to acquire Arabic-language Internet portal Maktoob.com (www.maktoob.com) to extend its search capabilities to this region.
