January 17, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider SAVVIS (savvis.net) announced on Thursday it has named Paul Goetz its new senior VP of sales for the Americas.
Goetz will replace Jim Mori, who has been named SAVVIS senior VP of client services. He joins SAVVIS from EMC, where he spent nearly 20 years serving in executive positions in sales, solutions marketing and professional services in North America and Europe.
“Paul is a seasoned sales executive with a proven track record of solution selling to the enterprise (market),” says SAVVIS CEO Phil Koen. “He joins SAVVIS during a period of significant industry expansion and will play an important role in our growth and reinforcing our market position as a leading global provider of hosting and IT infrastructure services.”
In November, SAVVIS launched a new hosting service, SAVVIS Foundation Hosting.
