Savvis, Apptix Launch Exchange Services

June 7, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed Web hosting provider Savvis Communications (savvis.net) announced on Monday that it has partnered with Apptix (apptix.com), a provider of on-demand business solutions, to launch managed utility services for Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Microsoft Sharepoint Services. The services, based on the utility computing model, will be delivered through Savvis’s virtualized delivery platform and Apptix’s applications delivery management software. The services will be available in both the US and Europe.

To deliver Microsoft’s email and collaboration tools, Savvis will deploy Apptix’s Tescos service automation and management software.
