August 19, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — SAVVIS Communications (savvis.com), an IP managed services provider, and AccessLine Communications (accesssline.com), a provider of hosted communications and managed voice services, announced yesterdat a strategic partnership agreement to provide a suite of managed voice services for enterprise telecom environments.

Under the terms, SAVVIS will integrate AccessLine?s VoIP soft switch and voice application technology into its IP network and hosting centers. This integration will produce, according to the company, a suite of fully managed voice services that enable enterprises to layer a broad set of telephony services over any voice network.

The agreement also calls for the companies to enter into exclusive partnerships, with AccessLine becoming SAVVIS? preferred voice provider and SAVVIS acquiring status as AccessLine?s preferred network provider.
