May 7, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — E-business platform provider and SAP AG subsidiary, SAP America Inc. (SAP.com) announced on Tuesday that Day & Zimmerman, Hendrickson International and West Pharmaceutical services Inc. have all chose SAP Hosting for application software and services.

These new customers, says SAP, represent a growing number of large enterprises selecting SAP?s application hosting for greater efficiency of IT resources, reliability and predictability of cost. Among the other large organizations to recently adopt the direct-hosted offering that SAP introduced in 2001 are Gold Banc Corporation, The United Illuminating Company, The Holmes Group Inc. and Moneyline Telerate.

Day & Zimmerman, a provider of managed services such as staffing, maintenance and modification security, says SAP, is using mySAP Hosted Solutions at affiliate Yoh Managed Staffing as part of its plan to deploy mySAP.com e-business solutions across the corporation.

Commercial transportation industry supplier Hendrickson International chose SAP for software, implementation services and application hosting. A more cost-effective option than traditional in-house deployment, says SAP, its mySAP Hosted Solutions enable Hendrickson International to position its organization for rapid implementation.

West Pharmaceutical Services, which supports the pharmaceutical and health care markets with drug delivery and dispensing products and services, chose mySAP.com solutions and application hosting services, says SAP, because it was able to purchase hosting and applications from a single provider.

SAP says its SAP Hosting provides US customers with enterprise application hosting, remote application management and implementation hosting. The company says it is partnered with data center providers EDS and Hewlett-Packard to deliver application infrastructure and support services.
