Salesforce will offer all of its core products to the Australian market hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), as the companies continue to expand their infrastructure relationship. Salesforce made the announcement Tuesday at Salesforce World Tour in Sydney, Australia, and also highlighted its Einstein AI service, which recently reached general availability.
The Salesforce Intelligent Customer Success Platform, including its Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, App Cloud, Community Cloud, and Analytics Cloud will be hosted by AWS in Australia with the move, rather than out of Salesforce’s data centers. AWS’ Sydney region will be available to Salesforce customers in the second half of 2017, according to the announcement.
“In our last quarter, APAC was the fastest-growing region for Salesforce, and we’re excited to expand our infrastructure footprint to support our rapidly growing customer base in Australia. By leveraging the AWS Cloud, we will be able to deliver the secure, reliable and trusted services of our Intelligent Customer Success Platform locally,” Mark Innes, General Manager of Salesforce Asia Pacific said in a statement.
Einstein democratizes AI, Salesforce says, with algorithms built into its Intelligent Customer Success Platform to directly deliver business intelligence in context through apps and workflows used regularly by its CRM customers. The service offers advanced machine learning, deep learning, predictive analytics, natural language processing, and smart data discovery, and customers can customize its AI models to fit their needs without extensive data science teams.
Salesforce also reached a deal with Equinix in February, which gives it direct public cloud connectivity without using the public internet in certain locations. Equinix has data centers in Melbourne and Sydney.
AWS’ top competitor in the public cloud infrastructure market, Microsoft, also owns LinkedIn, which announced the launch of the Enterprise Edition of its Sales Navigator CRM product on Tuesday.
