(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — The seventh-largest Vodafone subisidiary in the world by number of subscribers, Vodafone Romania (www.vodafone.ro), has launched a new web hosting service aimed at both residential and corporate users.
According to Vodafone Romania’s Thursday announcement, Vodafone myDomain enables customers to buy website and email hosting, as well asregister .com, .biz, .eu, .org and .mobi domain names, and, of course Romania’s top-level domain .ro.
Vodafone myDomain is available in four packages: myDomain Start, myDomain Extra, myDomain Pro, and Hosting Business. All are available for prices ranging between €3.99 ($4.93) and €17.99 ($22.23) per month.
Packages range from between 3 GB and unlimited space for website hosting, and 10 to 100 email accounts per registered domain, each with 3 GB of space each. In addition, users are provided a suite of applications for managing their websites as well as developing website components such as databases, forums, and blogs.
Existing users of Vodafone’s hosting services will be migrated to the new Vodafone myDomain platform. Until August, they will be able access Vodafone myDomain at the existing rates and will have their hosting space expanded from 10 MB to 3 GB for websites and from 5 MB to 3 GB for email inboxes. After August 1, they will be able to choose one of the new Vodafone myDomain packages.
