(RLXTechnologies.com) announced on Monday that it has developed a new solution specifically for the Web hosting industry, incorporating Ensim Corporation?s (Ensim.com) WEBppliance solution preinstalled on the RLX ServerBlade 800i.

Extending a worldwide marketing and technology agreement first announced in December 2001, the RLX Ensim WEBppliance solution uses Ensim WEBppliance 3.1 for Linux, the company?s Web hosting automation software that provides efficient Web serving and management.

RLX says the new solution gives Web hosting companies and service providers a flexible way to profitably scale their businesses with a minimum of integration time, through the RLX ServerBlade design, RLX Control Tower blade management software and blade optimization.

Officially launched in February 2002, the RLX ServerBlade 800i, says the company, is a high-performance, ultra-dense third-generation blade server, designed to be ideal for the constrained space of Web hosting environments.

The RLX Ensim WEBppliance solution blade can be installed in fewer than five minutes, says RLX, due to the Control Tower?s blade management system, designed to simplify deployment and management.

Ensim?s WEBppliance 3.1 for Linux, preinstalled on the new solution, provides a tiered control panel for self-administration, including a control panel designed for private label resellers. The new features of the software include localization capabilities with German and English interfaces included, custom skins to help differentiate brand, optional Miva Merchant e-commerce support and support for Red Hat 7.2.

According to RLX, the RLX Ensim WEBppliance solution is available immediately, starting at $1,599 per blade, including an Intel-based RLX ServerBlade 800i with 256MB of memory and a 20GB hard drive, preinstalled with WEBppliance 3.1 for Linux. The company is also offering several larger, complete solutions.
