RLX Exits Blade Server Business

According to reports, RLX Technologies has been considering shifting its focus on software for the last year, but it was Dell’s recent entry into the blade server space that triggered the move.

The company reportedly plans to sell Control Tower to other major server vendors, offering Control Tower as a product that can plug into other management software from vendors such as IBM, HP and Computer Associates.

Layoff notices were reportedly sent out last week, but the company did not comment on how many employees were cut. RLX has 115 employees.
