December 1, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK Web hosting provider ResellersPanel (resellerspanel.com) announced on Friday it has introduced its application programming interface software, enabling customers to completely customize their Web sites to its hosting platform.
ResellersPanel API version 1.0 includes such features as domain name availability checker, username availability checker, domain name and Web hosting account registration and Web hosting plan selection. The API, which returns results in plain text and XML format, can be accessed via an authorized IP address through a secure SSL connection using a MD5 encrypted password, as IPs are added via the ResellersPanel control panel.
The Web host has also launched the Web hosting tool Liquid Plan Builder, enabling resellers to create their own hosting plans for resell purposes. It is now available in the free reseller program’s control panel and is fully compatible with all the Web site templates currently supported by ResellersPanel. Each Web hosting plan must include disk space, traffic, hosted domains and email boxes.
ResellersPanel CFO Nick Blaskov says that using API software to create accounts for their customers provides resellers with a billing gateway of their own, providing a direct connection with the customers. The Liquid Plan Builder enables resellers to create unlimited hosting plans and offer them directly on their online stores.
