ResellerClub Brings Shared and Reseller Hosting Services to Hong Kong and Turkey

Indian web host ResellerClub announced this week that it is now offering its shared hosting and reseller hosting in Hong Kong and Turkey.

With Hong Kong and Turkey, ResellerClub customers can now choose between five global hosting locations, including India, the US, and UK. Hosting customers will see improved website performance and page load times as a result of the expansion.

The infrastructure in the new locations will use the same scalable hardware and infrastructure as its US data center.

Currently, ResellerClub hosts over 5 million domains and has more than 100,000 partners worldwide.

“We’ve been a part of this industry for over 14 years and have slowly expanded from offering just a ‘one-size-fits-all’ program to 10 localized programs across multiple markets such as India, China, UK, Brazil, Russia etc,” Shridhar Luthria, General Manager & Business Head of ResellerClub said. As our interactions with our clients from these locations increased, we were amazed by the growth potential that these markets have shown in just a short span of time. We have also received a lot of feedback from our resellers about the lack of superior hosting infrastructure on local servers, and keeping these two aspects in mind, we decided to bridge that gap.”

Both Hong Kong and Turkey present challenges to hosting providers because of the rules around censorship. Earlier this year, Turkey passed a law that allows officials to monitor telecommunications and ISPs, and block online content it deems illegal or to be in violation of someone’s privacy. Under the new law, ISPs must keep records of user activities for two years and hand them over to authorities.

Last month, SoftLayer opened a data center in Hong Kong as part of IBM’s $1.2 billion investment in building out its cloud services.

Disclosure: ResellerClub is a partner of iNET Interactive, the WHIR’s parent company.
