Registries Ltd., Macquarie Sign Deal

August 23, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Online registry and voting provider Registries Limited (registriesltd.com) announced on Wednesday it has signed a four year deal worth around $1.5 million with managed hosting and telecommunications services provider Macquarie Telecom (macquarietelecom.com).

The solution is expected to cut managed services and communications costs by up to 20 percent, in addition to improving the overall availability, security and reliability of Registries Integrated Securities Management registry system. Registries Limited provides online registry, voting and communication management services to more than 200 companies.

“Strategically, we were ready to take our existing IT environment to the next level,” says Tony Robinson, IT director at Registries Limited. “This included further expansion of our communications infrastructure capabilities. Macquarie Telecom came up with a solution that matches our current workload and has the capacity to scale with the business.”

Under the agreement, Macquarie Hosting, a division of Macquarie Telecom, will host and manage all of Registries’ production systems that run mission critical applications, as well as deliver new server hardware and capacity under the managed hosting services contract.
