(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — REDPLAID Managed Hosting (www.redplaid.com), a division of Connectria (www.connectria.com), announced on Wednesday it has enhanced its existing Cloud Computing Solution to launch it new Private Cloud Computing solution.
REDPLAID launched its Cloud Computing solution in 2008, which has since then led to a “surge of customers interested” in Private Cloud Computing as well, says the company.
The pay-as-you-go Cloud Computing solution uses proprietary methods developed by REDPLAID to deliver a fully-secured, shared computing environment which enables computing resources to be readily provisioned and scaled in response to a customer’s application demand.
This latest Private Cloud Computing solution is REDPLAID’s latest take on the cloud computing technology.
Earlier this week, Carpathia Hosting launched its own new cloud offering, the AlwaysOn/InstantOn fully-managed enterprise cloud solution.
The service enhances the Cloud Computing solution by offering a similar service, only in a computing environment that is fully dedicated for the sole use of a specific customer.
Private Cloud Computing uses REDPLAID’s core solutions which include VMware, Dell PowerEdge servers, EqualLogic Storage Area Networks, and REDPLAID’s comprehensive managed service plans.
REDPLAID Private Clouds let customers operate the cloud environment on the software of their choice, use any guest operating system that runs under VMware ESX, connect to the company’s fault-tolerant Cisco Gigabit network with a 100 percent network uptime guarantee.
The Private Clouds service is offered in two cloud computing options. Silver Private Clouds deliver low-cost VMware Virtual Machines running on high-performance, standalone Dell PowerEdge servers, while Gold Private Clouds are designed for software as a service hosting, and other business-critical hosting environments where uptime is critical.
