(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider REDPLAID Managed Hosting (www.redplaid.com) announced on Monday it has been selected as a Network Partner within Microsoft BizSpark, a program designed to assist startup software companies.
Launched in November, the Microsoft BizSpark program is a global business accelerator program designed to help entrepreneurs and startups succeed by connecting them to network partners, who work as mentors to provide guidance and resources to these startups.
BizSpark Startups who qualify for the program are given access to Microsoft development tools, platform technologies and production licenses, such as Windows Server and SQL Server, including Enterprise Editions.
Qualified Startups will also benefit from support and visibility through Microsoft Developer Network and the global BizSpark community of partners, investors and clients.
To qualify for the BizSpark program, the startup must be a private company building a software-based product or service, have been in business for less than three years and have less than $1 million in annual revenue.
Under the BizSpark program, REDPLAID will provide selected Startups its managed hosting services. REDPLAID joins the ranks of The Planet and Hostway as other web hosts who recently joined BizSpark program as network partners.
“As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, REDPLAID has successfully provided managed hosting services for Microsoft products for years,” says Rich Waidmann, REDPLAID president and CEO. “Through the added incentives offered with BizSpark, REDPLAID hopes to further extend its longstanding tradition of enabling startup software companies around the globe.”
