(RedlineNetworks.com) announced on Wednesday that Portuguese free Internet access provider and Web portal CLIX (CLIX.pt) has installed Redline?s T|X 2200 Web I/O Acceleration appliances in its data centers.

The T|X 2200 Web I/O Acceleration appliances, says Redline, enhance the performance of Web sites by speeding the delivery of HTTP and HTTPS content, increasing Web server capacity and decreasing bandwidth requirements.

“Several solutions had been analyzed,” says CLIX technical director Joao Bordalo, “and we concluded that the Redline Networks solution provided the most cost-effective benefit. Additionally, the fact that the technology was non-disruptive was a critical factor in our choice. After its implementation we measured an immediate increase in speed accessing our homepage on the order of 30 percent.”

Redline says systems integrator WhatEverNet completed the installations along with Redline Networks distributor Allasso.
