January 27, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet communications provider WorldCom (WorldCom.com) announced on Monday that it has renewed its extensive communications contract with global publishing and direct marketing organization The Reader’s Digest Association.

WorldCom says it will continue to provide Reader’s Digest with a converged global communications solution, including frame relay, ATM and Internet connections that form the platform for Reader’s Digest’s communications network. WorldCom’s services help the company conduct virtual meetings and collaborate with remote offices while saving time and money on travel.

According to WorldCom, it also provides Reader’s Digest with a customized customer interaction solution, allowing the publisher to provide superior customer service through speech-enabled self-service and the use of computer telephony integration technology to prioritize and deliver calls to contact centers.
