RatePoint Offers buySAFE Seal

October 4, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Online shopping company buySAFE (buysafe.com) announced on Thursday it has partnered with customer approval program operator RatePoint (ratepoint.com), giving buySAFE merchants the ability to manage their online reputation and prove to consumers that their business is reputable.

The partnership will also give merchants the opportunity to improve the overall quality of their business by requesting feedback from online customers. RatePoint merchants will be able to display the buySAFE seal and offer buySAFE bonding to its customers, ensuring those customers risk-free online shopping.     The buySAFE Seal identifies reputable, trustworthy merchants for online shoppers, and shoppers can guarantee their transactions with a bond backed by leading surety providers Liberty Mutual, Travelers and ACE USA. To qualify as a buySAFE Merchant, online retailers must pass the buySAFE certification process, which proves that they are financially sound, reliable, trustworthy and committed to delivering on their terms of the sale, says the company.

“We’re very pleased to partner with an innovator in the online reputation management and customer feedback space,” says Jeff Grass, CEO of buySAFE. “With the buySAFE Seal and bond guarantee shoppers will have total confidence knowing they are shopping with one of the best businesses on the Web. RatePoint’s unique platform gives Internet shoppers a meaningful way to discriminate among all of the online merchants.”

RatePoint announced earlier this week that it has been selected by Web hosting provider Host Depot to provide its customers with access to the RatePoint Consumer Approval Program.
