(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Secure file transfer solution developer ShareFile (www.sharefile.com) has opened its third California data center, enabling it to provide even faster upload and download file transfer speeds for service users in this region.
Raleigh, North Carolina-based ShareFile is a leading provider of tools for exchanging business files easily, securely, and professionally. Unlike an FTP site, ShareFile can be accessed using any standard web browser and does not require software installation or special training. ShareFile has a million users spanning more than 120 countries across industries including accounting, advertising, law, graphic design, consulting, healthcare, and engineering.
According to its Monday announcement, by adding this data center to its list of worldwide points of presence, ShareFile can provide world-class service to customers in more locations around the world, further setting it apart from its competitors.
“We recently established an additional center in Ireland to service our European clients and by adding a west coast location in the US we are able to expand our reach in North America and to provide our clients, and their customers, with better data speeds” ShareFile chief executive officer Jesse Lipson said in a statement. “We’ve already heard from customers in those areas who have seen a noticeable difference in file transfer speed.”
All ShareFile data centers are protected with multiple redundant power sources ensuring that data is easily accessible during any natural disaster. To protect against data loss, the servers are equipped with technology that automatically mirrors all data in real-time to two separate locations. Full backups of all system data are performed regularly ensuring that no data is lost and is always 100-percent secure.
