February 27, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Rackspace Managed Hosting Europe (rackspace.com) announced on Monday that it has helped FirstHelpLine (firsthelpline.com) launch its new Web site.
Climatechangenow (climatechangenow.com) is designed to provide consumers with an affordable, environmentally friendly energy provider. Firsthelpline called on Rackspace to host the site after it ran into problems with its existing hosting provider.
“Our client, climatechangenow, asked us to provide a full hosting service for the exciting new site which we had designed for them,” says Paul Green, managing director of firsthelpline. “Unfortunately, our usual hosting supplier could not provide the rapid scalability we needed for such a newsworthy site. We needed a managed hosting supplier urgently as we were due to go live on Monday and it was already 5:30 p.m. on Friday 13.”
The site successfully launched on January 16, 2006. New Conservative Party Leader, David Cameron, christened the site by switching his personal power supplier to the new eco-friendly option.
