Rackspace Expands Executive Team

July 20, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com) announced this week that it has added two new executives to the company’s team.

Frederick Mendler was named vice president of Fanatical Support for the company’s managed hosting division and Klee Kleber will serve as vice president of worldwide marketing.

“Frederick has long been an irreplaceable cog in our managed segment, ensuring Fanatical Support continues to exceed our customer’s expectations,” says Lanham Napier, president and CEO of Rackspace Managed Hosting, “and by adding Klee to our executive team, we will rely on him to drive our global marketing initiatives, including brand management, marketing communications, demand generation and market research. With a fast-growing company like Rackspace, we need proven leaders like Frederick and Klee to stay ahead of the competition by listening to our customer demands.”

Mendler has been with Rackspace for more than four years and most recently held the position of director of Fanatical Support. Kleber brings more than 13 years of marketing experience to Rackspace, 10 of those which were with Dell, where he managed various marketing and sales divisions of the company in the US and internationally.

Earlier this week Rackspace was recognized by Microsoft as its 2007 Worldwide hosting Service Provider of the Year.
