(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Offering dynamic and scalable server resources for small businesses to enterprises, RackForce Networks (www.rackforce.com) has launched its best-in-class cloud computing solution, ddsCloud, running on RackForce’s hydro-powered data centers.
According to its Wednesday announcement, RackForce’s ddsCloud is built on years of experience providing Dynamic data center Services. Starting at $99 per month, ddsCloud offers flexibly allocated processing, storage and networking services, unmetered up to 100 Mbps. The pricing model is predictable and easy to manage. ddsCloud prepares businesses for peak demand, letting them grow with ease, and choose simple, cost-effective “green” IT.
ddsCloud allows businesses to dynamically and independently add computing resources. RackForce’s cloud computing environment lets clients choose the combination of memory, processing power and data storage that best suits their businesses needs. When a businesses needs more of a particular resource, ddsCloud lets them to reallocate resources dynamically to a client’s cloud without making physical changes to a server.
RackForce co-founder and chief executive officer Tim Dufour said ddsCloud was the next obvious step in RackForce’s vision of building a highly scalable and flexible computing environment on top of its green data center services. “We are proud to provide a premium level of cloud computing at an accessible price point,” Dufour said in a statement.
A green IT solution, ddsCloud uses Microsoft’s Hyper-V virtualization technology to efficiently allocate server resources, reducing the number of servers needed to deliver the same services, using less electricity is required to run and cool the servers. Along with its energy-efficient data center architecture, Canada-based RackForce takes advantage the country’s chilly climate for cooling, and uses renewable hydroelectricity for power, resulting in its servers producing only a 1/20th of the greenhouse gases produced by competitors, according to the company.
