(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center server and storage product provider Rackable Systems (www.rackable.com) has launched the “Rackable Eco-Partner Program” to strengthen its growing worldwide channel program by offer its partners expanded access to the company’s “Eco-Logical” data center solutions.
According to Rackable’s announcement last week, its new reseller program, in addition to its recently unveiled web portal, enables partners to become Eco-Logical data center solution experts with access to a wide range of information, as well as sales and marketing tools to promote their businesses.
“Given today’s hyper-competitive marketplace, we are committed to providing our channel partners with the tools and resources they need to grow their revenue streams,” Rackable Systems sales and marketing senior vice president Tony Carrozza said in a statement. “The Rackable Eco-Partner Program empowers our partners to be the trusted Rackable data center experts in the field.”
Increasing profit potential, the Rackable Eco-Partner Program gives global partners access to its Eco-Logical data center technologies, marketing funds, discounts, qualified lead generation, streamlined communications and training seminars, as well as technical guidance on data center trends such as cloud computing, data center mobility and energy efficiency.
Michael Souza, regional director and general manager for FusionStorm (www.fusionstorm.com), a national managed services provider, said the Rackable Eco-Partner Program gives partners powerful marketing tools and opportunities to grow despite the chilly economic climate. “We are confident that the new program will create valuable opportunities for us to grow with Rackable; we are pleased to be a Premier Rackable Eco-Partner,” Souza said in a statement.
Less than a month ago, Rackable released a broad portfolio of servers based on its new MicroSlice architecture, replacing virtualization software with “physicalization,” a hardware-based approach to virtualization and setting a new standard for price performance-per-watt, allowing as many as 264 servers share a cabinet and drawing as few as 72 watts per server. This has given Rackable’s smallest server footprint ever, as well as improving the price-to-performance ratio for cloud computing and web-based environments by more than 50 percent.
