Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

August 19, 2003 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- RackShack.net (rackshack.net) announced today that it is now offering $5 domain name registrations on new and renewal domains.

"Our mission is to make affordable, high quality Web services available to every user," said Robert Marsh, CEO of RackShack.net.

The company believes the $5 price point is the lowest available worldwide. Domain registrars such as Network Solutions (networksolutions.com) and Register.com (register.com) each offer a single year rate of $35. GoDaddy Software (godaddy.com), a discount provider, offers domain registration services for $8.95 and in June, Chicago-based Hostway (hostway.com), began selling domain names for $6.95.

"We have been offering low-cost Internet access under the Everyones Internet (ev1.net) brand name since October 1998," said Marsh. "We created the discount dedicated servers market with RackShack.net. We recently added $25 SSL certificates, which is just 7 percent of VeriSign's (verisign.com) $349 pricing. With $5 domains we are demonstrating our ongoing commitment to give customers the best value possible."

The Texas-based firm, which specializes in offering discount dedicated servers, also recently unveiled a Windows-based offering.
