(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Unveiling the next major update to its successful Continuous Data Protection technology, software developer R1Soft (www.r1soft.com) will be debuting the latest version of its CDP software at the 2009 cPanel Conference in Houston on October 6 and 7.
CDP Server 3.0 Standard Edition, the first release of R1Soft’s CDP 3.0 products, will offer users high-performance CDP backups on a single server without the need of a dedicated backup server, according to R1Soft, a division of BBS Technologies (www.bbstech.com).
R1Soft founder and vice president David Wartell will present a session next week on CDP advancements and perform a demonstration of several new CDP 3.0 features including file and folder excludes, on-disk journaling, and storage of disk-based backups on NAS, Windows shares, cloud storage and other places. He will also present the product’s more user-friendly interfaces and reporting features, as well as the promising revenue and productivity-boosting implications it brings to web hosts.
“Year after year, cPanel Conference has provided us with an essential forum to reach out to cPanel users, gain valuable feedback, and open up new discussions,” Wartell said in a statement. “We are really looking forward to another successful conference and exhibiting some of the new CDP 3.0 features.”
The beta version of CDP 3.0 Standard Edition will be available before the end of the year, providing early access to some of the new CDP 3 Enterprise Features. Clients can pre-register for access to an unlimited number of free beta installs of the software for a limited time.
