November 24, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Qwest Communications International Inc. (qwest.com) said today that the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association has signed a multi-year agreement for its Web hosting services. Qwest said its hosting services would help the Chicago Symphony Orchestra ensure its Web site performs at peak levels, allowing Web users to access its abundance of content.

“Ticket sales through our Web channel have grown nine times during the past three years, so we can’t afford downtime or outages,” said Adam Fenton, Web site administrator for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. “It’s crucial that our Web site, and in particular our ability to sell concert tickets, is always working – as that represents a major source of revenue for us. Qwest is able to provide us with a secure Web hosting solution that fits our requirements.”

Qwest operates eight Internet data centers located in Burbank, California, Chicago, Denver, Newark, Tampa, Sacramento, Sterling, Virginia, and Sunnyvale, California.
