Qwest Offers Hosting for CrossCheck October 3, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Telecommunications provider Qwest Communications International (qwest.com) announced on Monday it will provide check approval and guarantee service provider CrossCheck (cross-check.com) with Web hosting services to support the company’s check authorizations via the Internet. Qwest says CrossCheck will be hosted at the Qwest CyberCenter facility in Chicago, giving CrossCheck a more secure and disaster-resilient environment for the organization’s crucial information. Qwest services will also provide a secure environment for CrossCheck’s computing infrastructure as well as offer CrossCheck customers with increased data connection speeds to authorize checks, and enhanced security and network reliability. ”Analysts have said more and more companies are realizing the importance of protecting business continuity in the instance of an emergency,” says Tom Richards, executive vice president of Qwest business markets group. “Qwest is committed to making it easier for customers to create disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and we are proud to provide expert Qwest Web hosting services to enterprise customers nationwide.” Qwest has ten CyberCenters located in various areas around the United States and was voted Hosting Center of the Year in a past InfoWorld reader’s choice survey. Qwest says it was also ranked number one for providing application services in a recent America’s Network end-user survey.
