December 14, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider and data center operator Quality Technology Services (qualitytech.com) announced on Friday that it has purchased 120,000 square feet of data center and office technology space in Silicon Valley.
“With the purchase of the Santa Clara facilities, QualityTech has initiated an improvement project to add 20,000 square feet of raised floor and associated infrastructure which should be complete and ready to use by July 2008,” says Mark Waddington, president of QualityTech. “The upgrade project and the purchase of the sister building will enable us to expand our business in 2008 and into the future and proves to the market that we are staying in Silicon Valley.”
QualityTech currently manages and operates more than two million square feet of data center space with a market value in excess of over half a billion dollars, says the company.
QualityTech recently signed a three-year strategic partnership with Internet business solutions provider Internap.
