Infrastructure as a service provider ProfitBricks announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its Channel Partner Program with the launch of its Reseller Program at the Channel Partners Conference and Expo in Las Vegas.

ProfitBricks introduced its referral program last month to offer partners 25 percent commission of a customer’s net revenue, 2-3 times the commission rates of its competitors.

The ProfitBricks Reseller Program is designed for managed service providers, value added resellers, IT consultants, system integrators and independent software vendors looking for recurring revenue streams. For service providers that want to deliver a cloud service that promises superior performance to AWS without building their own, a cloud reseller program such as ProfitBricks could be the answer.

Qualified reseller partners can receive up to 25 percent off ProfitBricks’ cloud services, depending on the reseller’s monthly recurring revenue of ProfitBricks IaaS services.

ProfitBricks also offers qualified startups a 20 percent discount of IaaS services for one year through its ProfitBricks Foundation Program, which was rolled out nationally earlier this month.

Reseller partners own the relationship with their customers, including billing, customer support, sales and account provisioning.

“We joined the ProfitBricks Referral Partner Program a few months ago and since then we continue to grow our cloud business,” Steve Oono, vice president of sales at Mojo Systems said in a statement. “Adding the reseller option enables Mojo Systems to continue to grow our professional services cloud-based recurring revenue.”

The ProfitBricks Reseller Program offers co-marketing support for ProfitBricks IaaS services, two-tier support for reseller partner personnel, and a fully integrated API. Resellers get a dedicated pre-sales contact, and can manage client environments using the Data Center Designer tool. There is no overhead or initial investment to join the program.

“ProfitBricks is determined to simplify the way cloud computing is sold through the channel,” ProfitBricks USA CEO Bob Rizika said in a statement. “Our clear pricing model and data center design tool make channel sales less complicated and potentially more lucrative for reseller partners. Customers want greater speed and higher flexibility in their infrastructure, and we can help resellers meet this growth opportunity.”

On Tuesday, cloud management platform RightScale announced that it is the first partner to resell Google Compute Engine infrastructure as a service.
