April 14, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Online games provider CYOP Systems International (cyopsystems.com) announced on Wednesday it has signed an agreement with data center facility Prime Multimedia International to manage the hosting and systems administration for its new Poker games.
With the upcoming launch of new poker games and its co-branded Asian Poker service with Sina.com, CYOP Systems realizes the importance of handling large loads of traffic. The company’s new hosting facilities and new hardware at Prime Multimedia is scalable, with an initial capacity to handle 40,000 concurrent players. CYOP Systems anticipates a significant increase in the number of its registered players, and now with its new data center the company can facilitate a database of millions of users.
Prime Multimedia says its architecture ensures high network performance, reliability and security. Systems are run on a high-speed, high-performance network, with both hard wired and satellite redundancy. All options are provided over a high speed, fiber-optic network, while the packet-switching architecture uses proprietary software for high security and is integrated with VeriSign technology.
“The company decided during the planning stages of the poker project to outsource the hosting and systems administration of its licensed Web properties in order to reduce administration costs,” says CYOP CEO Mitch White. “This will allow us to concentrate our expertise in the fields of marketing and advertising, thereby generating revenues.”
