PowerServe Buys 7th Street Media

March 26, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web design and software company PowerServe (powerserve.net) announced on Monday it has acquired Augusta, Georgia-based Web hosting and design provider 7th Street Media (7thstreetmedia.com) from Morris Communications (morris.com). Financial terms of the transaction was not disclosed.

The acquisition, which closed on March 1, adds more than 100 website customers to PowerServe. 7th Street Media customer base is comprised mostly of local small businesses but there are customers throughout the United States.

“The deal makes sense for both companies and our clients,” says Jeff Partl, president of PowerServe. “We were looking to grow the Web design and hosting aspect of our business, and Morris Communication had already decided to phase out 7th Street Media.”

Founded in 1998, PowerServe says it provides Web design, hosting and software services to more than 350 customers and employs 15 analysts, graphic designers and programmers.
