December 4, 2003 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Positive Software Corporation (psoft.net) announced yesterday that it has released H-Sphere Virtual Private Server 1.1, a hosting automation platform integrated with virtual private server technology.
The company said that with H-Sphere VPS, hosting providers can sell Linux-based virtual private servers to their clients.
According to the company, Version 1.1 is a major improvement in terms of stability and performance. The solution includes support for mounting inside VPS (nfs, smbfs, filesystmes), new limits on tcp established connections and bind ports, support for up to 16 virtual ethernet devices per VPS and up to 16 IPs per each virtual ethernet device, and improved network performance. Additional services include gcc (cc and gcc GNU compilers), MySQL and PostgreSQL database servers, php, sendmail, and RedHat?s up2date.
Positive Software said the solution comes complete with a client control panel, administration interface, private label reselling, integrated billing and trouble ticketiung system. Wizards and tools to install customizable packages are available, the company said.
H-Sphere VPS version 1.1 runs on Linux, FreeBSD, Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 servers.
