March 7, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — European telecommunications provider Pipex Communications announced on Friday it has renamed the company to FREEDOM4 Communications (freedom4.com) as the company shifts its focus towards offering business-strength Internet services and hosting solutions. The company’s ordinary shares will now trade under the name ‘FFC’.
FREEDOM4 Communications comprises of many business divisions, including WiMAX-powered wireless broadband provider FREEDOM4 and GX Networks, the parent company for the Web hosting and business brands.
These include Vialtus Solutions, 123-reg, WebFusion, Supanames and Donhost. Business will continue as normal for the brands and will remain unaffected, with the only changes being made in the reference to the parent company.
Last month, Pipex Business announced it rebranded the company to Vialtus Solutions, which focuses on providing integrated solutions to mid-market and large companies.
