Pinnacle Cart Now Available in Parallels Partner Marketplace

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Pinnacle Cart (www.pinnaclecart.com), an ecommerce solution from Desert Dog Marketing, has now become the only online shopping cart solution offered through the Parallels Partner Marketplace (www.parallels.com), letting many hosting partners easily and quickly deploy it without development effort of their own.

The Parallels Partner Marketplace is a key component of Parallels Small Business Panel that allows service provider partners to rapidly and easily monetize their small business customers by selling commercial applications in a revenue-share model with Parallels directly from their control panel and can self-serve hosted and desktop applications with a few clicks of the mouse. According to Pinnacle Cart’s Tuesday announcement, hosting companies can now offer Pinnacle Cart as a turn-key option, either as a co-branded Parallels Storefront or Direct Reseller Storefront.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be the Partner in Parallels Partner Marketplace,” Pinnacle Cart president and chief executive officer Mike Auger said in a statement. “We went through an arduous review process to become the Shopping Cart provider. To stand out among our peers in this highly competitive industry speaks to the quality of our platform.”

Parallels will take care of the setup, provisioning, licensing, billing and management aspects. Small business customers use the Parallels Partner Marketplace directly from their control panel and can self-serve hosted and desktop applications with a few clicks of the mouse.

“Parallels is uniquely addressing the needs of small businesses and redefining the way control panels are used with the development of Parallels Small Business Panel,” Parallels service provider division president Jack Zubarev said in a statement. “Over 100 cloud services providers are already launching the solution, so it’s clear that this is striking a chord with Parallels’ partners who are seeing the benefits for their small business customers. Parallels continues to enable cloud services providers to move beyond basic hosting services and offer value-added applications and services.”
