Philippine Airlines Selects ServePath

May 1, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Dedicated server provider ServePath (servepath.com) announced on Tuesday that Philippine Airlines (philippineairlines.com) has chosen ServePath to host its corporate Web site.

ServePath says its robust Internet hosting platform enables PAL to handle increased customer traffic and higher transaction volumes on its corporate Web site. PAL also selected managed hosting services to enhance the airline’s level of online security, data integrity and reliability, says the company.

“In order to deploy new interactive services related to online seat reservation, electronic ticketing and frequent flyer mileage program, we needed a Web hosting specialist who could provide the fastest access to our Web site, as well as technical expertise and responsiveness to support our new business requirements,” says Joffrey S. Foronda, team leader of the PAL Web hosting evaluation team. “After evaluating a number of hosting providers, we chose ServePath for their ability to provide us with a cost-effective, scalable solution to fit our unique requirements. ServePath helped us control costs without sacrificing the quality of our hosting solution.”

ServePath also recently launched a new enterprise server hosting package, featuring Intel’s quad-core technology.
