February 12, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — IT security solutions provider Perimeter eSecurity (perimeterusa.com) announced on Tuesday it has named Doug Howard chief strategy officer and president of its e-messaging services subsidiary, USA.NET (usa.net).
As chief strategy officer for USA.NET, Howard will be responsible for Perimeter’s product strategy including mergers and acquisitions. ”We are very excited to welcome Doug Howard to Perimeter,” says Brad Miller, CEO of Perimeter eSecurity. “Doug’s deep experience in enterprise IT security and secure messaging is a great compliment to our team. I am particularly happy to have such a forward-thinking executive to guide the growth of our service portfolio and our USA.NET subsidiary.”
Before joining Perimeter, Howard served as chief operating officer of BT Counterpane where he led a team responsible for the development, implementation, operations and marketing of the company’s product and service lines. He has also served as VP of security and business continuity for AT&T, where he developed and launched new security services for each of the company’s business lines of service.
Perimeter announced last month it acquired Secure Electronic Communication Compliance Archival System for an undisclosed amount.
