Perigon Networks Acquires AmHosting

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Perigon Networks, parent company of DotNetNuke hosting provider PowerDNN (www.powerdnn.com), announced on Wednesday it has acquired Web hosting provider AmHosting (www.amhosting.com).

Perigon completed the acquisition of AmHosting brand, its customer base and data center facilities in Reno in December 2009.

The acquisition of AmHosting has greatly expanded Perigon’s existing footprint in the hosting industry, says the company.

“While Perigon Networks will continue to focus on its PowerDNN brand, AmHosting provides us the opportunity to diversify both our customer base and our technology demographic,” says John Grange, executive vice president and co-founder of PowerDNN. “The ability to grow by purchasing a long-established and trusted brand like AmHosting just does not present itself every day,”

Originally established in 1997 under the name American Internet, AmHosting has been delivering Web hosting and colocation solutions to customers worldwide for more than 13 years.

The combined PowerDNN and AmHosting brands serve more than 25,000 customers worldwide with call centers operating in Bellevue, Nebraska and Reno, Nevada.

Perigon’s technology infrastructure is also supported by data center operations in Bellevue, Reno, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Kansas City.
