Performance, Sun Collaborate for Netra Blade Servers

September 22, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Performance Technologies (pt.com), a developer of unified embedded computing products, and Sun Microsystems (sun.com), a hardware and software developer, said today they will collaborate on developing packet-based technology for Sun?s carrier-grade Netra blade servers.

The combination of the two company?s expertise will create an embedded platform offering that tightly integrates system management, high availability functions and a packet-switched backplane interconnect, the companies reported.
