December 9, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Penguin Computing, a provider of highly scalable Linux server and cluster solutions, announced on Wednesday its new blade server, BladeRunner.

Packaged with Scyld Beowulf Linux clustering software, BladeRunner is the first "cluster in a box." Scyld Beowulf is a complete, standards-based Linux distribution customized for high performance computing clusters. BladeRunner is also an effective data center consolidation platform, offering twice as much compute density as some competing products.
