The new Toronto facility is currently under construction, but is expected to be customer ready by the end of March 2005. The planned New York facility will more than quadruple the amount of Peer 1 colocation space in the city, and is designed to take some of the weight off of the original Peer 1 facility in New York, which no longer has space to accommodate the company’s growing client base. The company expects the New York facility to be finished by mid-February.

“While we are very pleased with the demand we see in the market, we never want to be in a position where we cannot meet it,” says Rick Hingson, Peer 1′s VP of operations. “Peer 1 has recently undertaken a complete review of our 13 different colocation facilities in order to ensure that we always have the capacity to meet our customers’ demand.”
